I had my credit from Citi bank and also had a supplementary (my sister). I was not using my card that much but my sister does the opposite, cant blame her she just had some trouble financially... and as a brother i just have to understand her situation. My Max Limit was 80K and I just got surprise one day our bill was 60K already. Worried as i am, i talked to my sister and we agreed that we need to slow down in using the card and see where the debt is coming from. We found out that since we dont pay the whole due amount we usually end up paying a Finance Charge of not less 1600 every month.. Woah talk about money wasted. So to help lessen the debt, i "cut" my own card so i will not use it... my sister just lessen her use. and make it a point to priority our debt first with as much amount as she could possibly give. After some 6 months, i'm proud to say that we already finished paying everything and now its different, we even overpaid the card and Citibank owe us hehehe.. I had 4 cards actually, now i'm down to 3 (citibank included). Im just keeping citibank till it expire. Then i'll just keep two cards (for emergency use of course).. For me, i think it all boils to 'responsible' use card.
